With the presence of HE Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Braiter, Presidente of the Jewish Federation Paulo Maltz, and the speaker journalist Michal Fajbusiewicz of Poland.
Ambassador Braiter opened the event, followed by the greetings of Presidents of FIERJ and CIB, and the lecture by Michal Fajbusiewicz, who was born in Lodz, a journalist, graduated in political science and pedagogy. Author of several articles on Jewish culture, Michal considers the documentary THE MISSION as the most important of his career, because it was the only one made even when Jan Karski was alive. Michal received in 2006 one of the highest Polish decorations, the Golden Eagle.
Among the presents, Mr Freddy Glatt, representing Sherit haPleitá (Survivors of the Shoah), the Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Arjen Uijterlinde, Professor Sofia Deborah Levy, CONIB representative in the National Council for the Promotion of Racial Equality, Stefan Janczukowicz, President, and members of the Polonia Society of Rio de Janeiro, Captain Ignacy Felczak, President of SPK in Rio de Janeiro -World Federation of Polish Combatants, headquartered in London, leaders and representatives of institutions, members of associations of veterans, members of the Descendants Group of Ostrowiec Jews, members of the NGO Loving Christians.
The event ended with a moment of silence in honor of Jan Karski, the martyrs of the Shoah and the innocent victims of the 2nd. World war.
